Item #: SCP-XXXX-P1

Object Class: Not Yet Evaluated

Threat Level: Not Yet Evaluated

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-P-1 and -2 are contained within the Site-116 Large Vehicle Hangar. Contained entities have so far proven cooperative and nonviolent; however, site security remains elevated and MTF Delta-50 ("Runestone Breakers") has been placed on standby. Should an instance breach containment, it has been theorized that electromagnetic pulse weaponry may be effective. However, this has not been tested, and should not be relied upon in place of conventional arms in recontainment efforts.

Description: SCP-XXXX-P designates a series of large, heavily-armed, therapod-like sapient automata, measuring 4.8 meters in height when standing fully upright and weighing approximately 18 tonnes. Entities are constructed from a steel alloy currently undergoing material analysis, with interlocking plates of the material covering a reinforced skeleton. A number of bladed and projectile weapons are built into the frame of SCP-XXXX-P instances, as well as several other devices of unknown function. Instances are sapient and fluent in English and Swedish.

Markings on SCP-XXXX-P instances indicate that they are units of the "Lanner" series, constructed by GoI-1115 ("Anderson Robotics"). This has been corroborated by the instances themselves in interviews, but Foundation diplomatic agents have not yet gained official confirmation from GoI-1115. In light of this, invasive research efforts have been temporarily suspended until such time as GoI-1115 provides schematics for the "Lanner" series or denies their involvement.

Addendum 1: Acquisition
SCP-XXXX-P-1 and SCP-XXXX-P-2 were first discovered on 2048-08-08 by Foundation drone systems monitoring the conflict in Sweden. In response to operator reports of large, autonomous mechanical war weapons during a minor skirmish in the city of Skövde, a detachment from MTF Delta-50 was deployed from Site-116 to investigate and contain the anomalies.

Upon arriving at Skövde, Foundation forces discovered that the skirmish had ended. SCP-XXXX-P-1 and SCP-XXXX-P-2 were found walking away from the city without escort, toward an unknown destination. Upon being confronted by Delta-50, SCP-XXXX-P-1 immediately identified the task force. Both instances complied peacefully with MTF agents, and were contained at Site-116 without resistance.

Addendum 2: Interview Log XXXX-P-1

Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-P-1, SCP-XXXX-P-2

Interviewer: Dr. Hober Sterm

Foreword: A standard intake interview was conducted with SCP-XXXX-P instances after initial containment, using the PA system in the Site-116 LVH. It was not possible to interview instances individually, due to the lack of available rooms of sufficient size.

Dr. Hober Sterm: Good evening, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX-P-1: Ehh… that seems like a mouthful. Would Alva and Viktor work? I know you people are serious about the numbers thing - maybe Lanner #4 and Lanner #5?

Sterm: Alva and Viktor will be acceptable. Now, Alva, Viktor, could you tell me how and why you came to Skövde yesterday?

XXXX-P-1: Oh, sure! Well, Viktor and I are the first Lanner models - not the first first Lanner models, but those are still in [[three-portlands-hub|Three Portlands]].2 We're the, the…

XXXX-P-2: Field prototypes.

XXXX-P-1: Yeah, that. The UK Defense Ministry wanted a test run before they invested in a larger-scale lease, so the execs sent us!

Sterm: And what, exactly, are you prototypes for? What is the Lanner series?

[SCP-XXXX-P-1 begins to count on its fingers]

XXXX-P-1: We're construction machines, transport vehicles, and, uhh, large-scale combat weapons.

XXXX-P-2: Mostly combat weapons. The user manual calls us "A new weapon for a new era of warfare, made by the most trusted robotics company in the multiverse." There's not much, err, ambiguity.

Sterm: Very well. Thank you for your cooperation.

XXXX-P-1: And thank you for your hospitality.
